The new ten year plan for the NHS calls for us to shift care closer to home and to place a greater focus on prevention. In Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, local community pharmacy is already playing an important role in helping to deliver these two shifts. Local pharmacies are a source of expert advice and treatment for a range of minor illnesses, from coughs and colds to insect bites and minor skin issues. They offer prescription medication for seven common conditions, without the need to see a GP. We are looking to understand how people currently use their pharmacy for minor illness and their awareness of the range of advice and treatment available. The survey takes only a few minutes online and you’ll be helping us to improve pharmacy services for all.
