Who is Kate and what is she doing?
Kate Lippiett is a respiratory nurse and researcher who has been looking at patient experiences of treatment in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and lung cancer. She wants to look at people’s experience of long Covid, both in terms of how they are diagnosed and how they are treated. She wants to work on developing these thoughts into a research proposal over the next six months
How can you help?
We are looking for a contributor with experience of living with respiratory disease who is able to commit to working with Kate over the next 6 months.
This would include meeting with Kate to discuss and develop her proposal and doing things like developing a lay summary of the proposal. If you could submit a short expression of interest (less than 300 words) we will be in contact over the next month.
How will we support you?
You will be supported by the ARC PPI officer (Katherine Baker) and Kate in understanding the tasks and requirements. You will also have the opportunity to shape the tasks and requirements of the post as this is intended to be you and Kate working together rather than simply Kate telling you what she wants. You will also be reimbursed for your time in line with NIHR ARC guidelines.
