FTE (37 hours): Independent Domestic Violence Adviser.
This is a fixed-term contract (initially 12 month contract subject to funding availability)
Salary:
Grade 7 – 8 (dependent upon IDVA qualification and experience)
Grade 7 salary range: £23,398 per annum – £27,668 per annum
Grade 8 salary range: £27,668 per annum – £31,601 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Safelives accredited ‘Leading Light’ Independent Domestic Violence Advisory (IDVA) service – as part of Southampton City Council’s response to victims of domestic abuse.
You will help to provide a proactive, responsive service to victims of domestic abuse by delivering a range of services such as risk assessment & management, safety planning, advising on housing and legal options and service planning.
It is essential for you to have an understanding of the needs of clients experiencing domestic abuse and to have a strong crisis management skills with experience of planning and delivering on diverse caseloads and of working within a multi-agency environment and organisations.
This role require you to be an essential car user.
Due to the nature of the job, the post is subject to an enhanced DBS.
